The ultimate places to eat and drink before the gig.

What better way to spice up a Thursday evening than with some awesome live music from one of Australia's most successful bands of 2014. If you are one of the lucky ones with a golden ticket for tonight's John Butler Trio set, we've hand picked a few of the best places to grab a bite to eat and get a quick drink before the show!

Fans have eagerly awaited tonight’s gig since late last year when it was postponed thanks to a cheeky snowboarding accident, leaving bass player Byron Luiters with a broken wrist. After a few months of rest and some generous TLC, the Aussie rockers are back to continue their Flesh & Blood Tour, including a bunch of total classics which made us all fall in love with them.

If you’re heading to watch the John Butler Trio in Townsville tonight, and looking for a place to meet up with your friends for a quick one beforehand, then we’ve got you covered. From classy cocktails to cool beers, three course meals to picky dips and chips, whatever your heart desires, there is a whole cullinary world waiting for you on the streets of Townsville.

Conveniently located just a 15-minute walk from The Venue, you can stroll on down to the show in your own time, without having the stress of parking the car or getting stuck in traffic before the gig.
