So you’ve arrived in Rockhampton, and the kids are restless and need something to do. They’re bored, they’re hungry and tired of being cooped up. If this sounds like your little ones, then fear not—we have found some great Rockhampton cafes and activities that will keep kids of all ages occupied all day!

Ideal for children between 0 and 12 years of age, as well as a dedicated area for toddlers between 0 and 3 years, the Oasis World Café and Play Centre is just that—an oasis for you and the kids! Being fully air conditioned, you can relax in comfort while your children play and explore the great equipment and ball pits. With gaming consoles and birthday rooms available, your kids are sure to love it here.
It’s not always about the kids, though! This is a great place for parents to come and catch a breather. The centre’s amazing café offers a full range of hot and cold beverages, all-day breakfast (yum!), toasted sandwiches, as well as snacks and sweets for the littlies. Sip on your barista-made coffee and watch your children enjoy themselves at this great play centre. Just be sure to bring socks for the kids to wear!

If your kids love animals, especially crocs, then the 40-minute drive to the Koorana Crocodile Farm will be well worth it! Open Monday to Sunday from 10am to 3pm, and with two fully guided tours available twice daily (10:30am and 1pm), this is a fantastic place to bring the kids. Learn about the team’s conservation efforts, see live crocs in their enclosures, watch enthralled as they snap up their food and learn all about their history.
This is a fantastic option for parents looking for an educational and thrilling day out with the kids. You don’t even have to worry about lunch—the farm has an onsite restaurant, which serves up steaks, kebabs, pies, burgers and more. School tours are also available, with educational worksheets and activities for students!
