Held for the first time this weekend in Wollongong, the inaugural Bravo Team Challenge is a three day adventure event like no other. Get your group of 10 together and battle it out in a variety of fun-filled, fast paced, military type obstacles which will challenge you both physically and mentally. Don't think you're in good enough shape to compete? There's a variety of difficulty levels for each obstacle, so there will be no excuse for not competing. Don't spend another weekend on the couch stuffing your face with fatty foods, get some friends together and sign up to the Bravo Team Challenge for an experience unlike any other.

Day 1 – The Summit

Prepare yourself for a day of team strategy and perseverance to kick off the 2015 Bravo Team Challenge. Starting at the Wollongong Botanical Gardens, your team will have to both navigate and hike their way to the summit of Mt Keria, which includes a 12 kilometre track and 980 metres of elevation. There will be a variety of challenges along the way to test your mental capacity under fatigue.

Choosing what meal you’re going to be indulging in before the big event is always important. Whether you’re someone who needs a coffee’s pre-workout powers before a day of exercise or you prefer to steer clear of liquids altogether and head straight for a wholesome breakfast, stopping in at Barlissimo will be the perfect preparation before the day one summit climb. The organic coffee from this cafe is locally sourced and goes perfectly with the Barlissimo Big Breakfast. However, the Ravenous Athletes Muesli would probably be a more suitable option for those who want to feel a bit lighter before they compete.

 Day 2 – Adventure Playground

Day two begins at the Wollongong Botanical Gardens, but instead of heading up Mt Kiera you will be tackling a range of different obstacles that are enough to test the willpower of anyone competing. Pull yourself up, dust yourself off and conquer that next hurdle, as you step out of your comfort zone and work every muscle in your body.

Okay so you’re sore as hell and just need a place to collapse and recover over a nice carbo-loaded Indian dish from Mango Tree Cafe and Restaurant. There’s not a dish served at this restaurant that isn’t delicious, but unfortunately you can’t order them all, so we suggest to order either the methi Malai chicken, Bombay beef or tandoori jumbo prawns. If you’re thinking about bring the whole team down, book early as this place is popular with Wollongong locals. Takeaway is also available if you just want to relax your muscles at home with a delicious Indian cuisine.
