Tick this natural wonder off your bucket list

The Great Barrier Reef is the world's largest coral reef system and is home to some of the most beautiful and diverse marine wildlife in the entire world. With the uncertain state of climate change, it is important to make sure you get to the Whitsundays and experience this natural wonder in all its glory as soon as possible. It doesn't matter whether you're an Airlie Beach local wanting to see the reef you've heard so much about or you've come from the other side of the world just to catch a glimpse, we've found 2 different ways you can experience the Great Barrier Reef.

Set out for a day of adventure and sightseeing you won’t forget with a Reefworld cruise by Cruise Whitsundays. This full day cruise uses purpose built high speed catamarans with spacious air-conditioned lounge areas and plenty of undercover seating and sun decks, so you’r happy regardless of the weather. The cruise starts in the Port of Airlie Maritime Terminal and jets off between all the wonderful tropical Whitsunday Islands with beauty so magnificent you’ll be tempted to stop off before you even explore the Great Barrier Reef.

The journey ends at a pontoon adjacent to the coral walls, so you can spend the afternoon finding Nemo  amongst the colourful coral, experiencing the underwater wonderland that is the Great Barrier Reef. But what about the food you ask? There’s also an extensive buffet lunch provided, as well as bar refreshments if you get a little parched throughout your trip.
