If you’re an experienced surfer and looking for some of the best right-handers in the area, make sure you take a trip to Grants Beach. This sandy stretch is three and a half kilometres long and poses as a popular wave for both locals and visitors alike. Are you keen to surf but your partner would prefer to stay out of the water? Luckily there is a brilliant walking track that runs alongside the beach, allowing both of you to get some exercise before indulging in brekky.

Nine kilometres long, Lighthouse Beach offers a healthy supply of beach breaks, with the best of the waves at the northern end. Depending on the conditions, this spot is good for both beginners and advanced levels as well as posing as the perfect spot to take the family for a day of fun. If the waves aren’t up to standard you can enjoy some time fishing on the south side of the Watonga Rocks or take a walk up to the lighthouse.
