Rockhampton, are you ready to unwind?

Pampering yourself not only mentally relaxes you but has loads of health benefits too! Exfoliating your skin regularly leaves you with baby-soft skin, and helps reduce the physical signs of ageing. Ensuring your nails are kept clean and tidy will prevent a build up of bacteria resulting in less chances of nasty infections and caring for your cracked heels will reduce the risk of cellulitus (a non-contagious bacterial infection). Our top-to-toe homemade beauty products will leave you feeling brand new. And if you are in the Rockhampton area, we've sourced some of the best local beauty salons that'll attend to your every need.

BODY: Invigorating Coffee Body Scrub

Leave your skin silky smooth and smelling delicious with this simple coffee body scrub. You can apply this scrub to your hands, feet, body or even your lips.

What you need:

  • 1-cup of ground coffee (unbrewed)
  • 1-cup of melted coconut oil (see substitutes below)
  • Half a cup of raw sugar
  • Sealable jar

How to make:

Mix all ingredients in your jar until well combined. Mixture should be moist but with no excess liquid.

How to use:

For an intensive exfoliation, use a loofah or natural bristle bath brush. Rub a handful of the delicious scrub all over your body, focusing on any dry patches.

Substitutes:

If you do not have any coconut oil, replace with vitamin E or olive oil.

HANDS: Cuticle Cream

Extend the look of your manicure by cleaning up your cuticles on a weekly basis. Apple cider vinegar is a natural antiseptic that will ensure you stay clear of any nasty infections around your nails.

You will need:

  • Half a cup of apple cider vinegar
  • A tablespoon of coconut oil (can be replaced with jojoba or olive oil)
  • A few drops of your favourite essential oils
  • A container

How to make:

Combine all the ingredients in the container. Easy as that!

How to use:

Rub a small amount onto each nail, focusing on the cuticle bed as often as you feel necessary. Push back cuticle if needed with a sanitised cuticle tool.
