With a number of screenings at the BCC Coolangatta over the 10 days including a number of national and international films, you would be mad to miss a night at this hot location. Try out some delicious sushi at a local restaurant before your chosen film – after all no one likes getting the belly rumbles half was through a movie.
If you’re one for sushi you are simply going to love this unique joint. Located in the trendy Strand location, O-Sushi Japanese Restaurant offers a diverse menu of both classic Japanese dishes as well are more unusual concoctions. If you’re keen to take the kids to see something at the GCFF, be sure to rock up to the Robina Common before 6:30pm for a free showing of Paddington; the story of a young Peruvian bear who travels to London in search of a home. If your kiddies love the idea of a teddy bear picnic, pack a basket of goodies and join in on a community picnic fun before the film. Taboon is a fantastic location to enjoy a delicious meal before the showing. Serving up a selection of Middle Eastern delights, this modern and contemporary cafe is an exotic hot spot for foodies across the Gold Coast, well known for their full flavoured dishes and unique spices. Be sure to order the family a pot of mint tea while you dive into a selection of foreign dishes for the whole crew to enjoy. Palm Beach Parklands
If it’s a pirates life for your kids, be sure to take them to Palm Beach Parklands on the 11th April to watch The Goonies. If the sound of an authentic treasure hunt excites them, make sure you arrive early, around 4pm, so they can team up with their fellow pirates to find the treasure hidden in the Parklands. Fill up their boots before hand at Genki Cafe.
