These school holidays planned out for you!

Those two words—school holidays—can have you shaking in your boots. A few weeks of school-free children can send parents up the wall, and now we're in the thick of it, you're probably begging for help when it comes to keeping the rascals entertained. Are you stuck for ideas and about to to pull your hair out from all the noise, stress and frustration? Check out our ideas below—from feeding fish to exploring local wildlife, there's bound to be something in this list that your children will enjoy! Need to feed them while you're out and about? This Northern Territory gem is a great place to take the kids, with a huge range of wild animals and natural wildlife to see. From giant crocs to cute, fluffy joeys, there are plenty of Australian animals to encounter (and maybe even meet!). These school holidays, the Territory Wildlife Park also has a huge range of school holiday activities including wild circus classes and an animal costume workshop. During the winter holidays, you can even enjoy a twilight tour or camp out under the stars. Book in and roast marshmallows by a camp fire, enjoy some nighttime animal encounters, and camp onsite to enjoy costume competitions and treasure hunts!

Do your kids prefer a bit of healthy competition to meeting wildlife? If that’s the case, head to The Planet for some awesome tenpin bowling or a game of putt putt. This incredible restaurant and takeaway spot is perfect if you need somewhere to drop in for dinner on your way home from a big day out. For a healthy option, order some of the wild-caught Northern Territory fish; including barramundi, jewfish, threadfin salmon, rock cod and black-tip flake, choose to have your fillet grilled for a fresh meal straight out of the ocean.
