Baldwin Swamp Environmental Park

Home to a number of tracks, boardwalks and bridges, Baldwin Swamp Environmental Park is an easy and fun place to explore! Home to beautiful wetlands, here you’ll get to witness a wide range of waterbirds including Magpie Geese, Whistling Ducks, and possibly even rare species such Cotton Pygmy Geese and Comb Crested Jacana.


Bundaberg Botanic Gardens

If you’re looking for a fantastic way to spend the day, be sure to visit Bundaberg Botanic Gardens. Spread across 27 hectares, here you’ll witness a range of nature and wildlife including birds, trees, flora and fauna. Bundaberg Botanic Gardens is also home to a number of picnic areas, boardwalks, gardens and children’s playgrounds, as well as an on-site chapel and cafe.


Turtle Trail

A short drive from the centre of Bundaberg, Turtle Trail is the perfect place to visit for a relaxing afternoon. Famous for the Mons Repos turtle Rookery in which it homes, this route is popular with both residents and tourists alike. On top of a number of walking and cycling tracks, here you can enjoy a range of facilities including picnic areas, toilets and an on-site information centre.


Riverview Environmental Reserve

Located approximately 21-kilometres from Bundaberg CBD, Riverview Environmental Reserve is home to an abundance of wildlife, viewpoints, natural creeks and much more. Rich in history and nature, this is the perfect  location for the whole family to enjoy. Take a walk along the path and enjoy a relaxing picnic as you admire the views.
