Raining on the Gold Coast? We have you covered.

The weather on the Gold Coast these last few weeks have been less than desirable. We are so spoilt with sunshine that when it does rain, it can really catch us off guard. Never fear, though, the recent increment weather has inspired us to create your rainy day survival guide—perfect for those with kids on holidays. We’ve left no stone unturned, so don’t be discouraged by a little rain, instead put on your jacket and let’s go have some fun! Read on to discover some great places to go, even in miserable weather.

One of the great things about the Gold Coast is that there is always something to do, even if it’s pouring outside. If your plan for a fun day out has been ruined by horrible weather, don’t worry—we’ve made a survival guide, including Gold Coast cafés to visit, for this very situation! Grab your kids or some friends and get ready for a day of laughs and making memories.

So it’s a bit wet out? Don’t let it dampen your day, try heading to these amazing local attractions to keep you busy!

Go rock climbing, go karting and more!

Head over to Helensvale and book yourself a go-kart race or rock-climb with Game Over. This is a great option if you were looking forward to some adrenaline-pumping action before the rained ruined it all. If you’d prefer fun of the trampoline kind, there’s always the newly established Air Factory in Burleigh Heads or Mr Bounce in Mermaid Waters (whichever is closer to you!).

Not a fan of fast-paced activities? Head to Surfers Paradise for some fun!

Experience everything Caville Ave has to offer!

Known for its thriving nightlife, during the day Caville Ave sings a completely different tune. Extremely child-friendly and full of fun activities and shops, this is a great option if you find yourself stuck out in the rain. Head on over to Timezone and win enough raffle tickets to get yourself a prize, or if you prefer, head across the mall to the Old Time Photos. This is a great option for those who love to have some fun dressing up: whether you want to be a cowboy or a 1920s gangster, you can do it all here! If that’s still not your jam, why not try your hand at Strike Bowling Bar? They serve drinks!
