Tips to help you write vows for your Rockhampton wedding

You’ve chosen your venue, set a date, found the perfect dress, and now it’s time to do that one thing you’ve been putting off — write your vows. Whether he had you at hello or she took a while to win over, for most people there’s a certain anxiety that sets in when it comes to putting those warm fuzzy feelings down on paper. Don’t stress, we have a few simple ideas to help you put some of those thoughts down into a string of coherent sentences.

5 Steps to Help You Put Pen to Paper:

Happy Bride & Groom

Step 1

How did you meet? Perhaps it was like a scene right out of a movie — you looked into each other’s eyes for the first time and the whole world just stopped for a second. Or, it was just another day at the office. Either way, a great starting point is to jot down those first feelings.

“From the moment I first met you, I knew __________. I went home after our first date feeling __________.”

Step 2

Never underestimate the power of humour. Was there one moment where the object of your affection made you laugh so hard, that you knew you would become best friends? What about when you knew that they were different to every other person in the world?

“That time when you ____________, you made me laugh. It made me see you in a different light, as the _____________ kind of person you are.”

Step 3

Do traditional vows resonate with you? Why not try incorporating parts of traditional vows with your own twist.

For better or for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, Visa or MasterCard, I promise to ___________.”

Step 4

An oldie but a goodie. Maybe it’s too unrealistic to promise to always put the toilet seat down/or to never get mad if the toilet seat is up, but what about promising to be the one who always mows the lawns?

“I promise to always ___________.”

Step 5

For inspiration here’s Channing Tatum. You’re welcome.
