The best restaurants for a Saturday get-together!
Across from the water in South Mission Beach is Zenbah Restaurant and Cocktail Bar; a lively and modern restaurant. With a gourmet menu of share plates, live entertainment over the weekend, as well as some unique cocktail creations, this is a great place to meet up with friends this weekend. Pop inside and order a seafood platter—this delicious dish includes Moreton Bay bugs, fresh prawns and juicy oysters, plus more! This is the perfect option to share among friends, but if you’re feeling particularly hungry, order the twice-cooked pork belly (you won’t want to share this incredible dish!).
Their impressive drinks menu includes a range of favourite beers and spirits, but we recommend ordering one of the signature cocktails, like the Ferrero Rocher delight! The good food, great drinks and a local live acts will ensure this weekend is one to remember. Grab your friends and don’t go past Zenbah Restaurant and Cocktail Bar for your Saturday entertainment.
If you’re predicting your Saturday night is going to be a laidback one, then Caffe Rustica is the perfect option for you. This pizza and pasta restaurant specialises in hearty, homemade Italian dishes in a warm and relaxed setting. Located inside a refurbished house and surrounded by tropical greenery, this local favourite has been serving incredible pizza and pasta to the friendly people of Mission Beach since 2001.
To start the night, order the Italian antipasto plate with eggplant dip, prosciutto, marinated olives, bocconcini, artichokes and sundried tomato accompanied by focaccia bread. From here, the only choice you have to make is whether to indulge in a large, sumptuous pasta dish, or try one of the gourmet pizzas. Top this off with one of their wines or beers on offer, and this is the best place to head on a Saturday night if you want to meet up with your friends for some good food and great conversation.
Another Italian gem is Sapore Di Italia. Located in Innisfail, this is a cosy cafe that serves up meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Open until 11pm on Saturday night, it’s a great spot for an intimate date night, or a catch up with a few of your closest friends. Their authentic Italian dishes have charmed the locals who rave about their incredible food, and equally as great service.
Come in and meet the friendly team and try one of their traditional Italian pasta dishes, or creative and flavoursome salads. A favourite is the pear and prawn salad, made with dark leafy greens and drizzled with balsamic vinegar. If you love your seafood but would prefer something more filling, try their seafood carbonara with a creamy homemade sauce and topped with fresh mussels. This restaurant is BYO, so make sure you pack your favourite bottle of red and make a reservation at this sought-after location for Saturday night.
