Café on Hedges

Located just metres away from the beach in Mermaid, this little treasure is a must stop shop for any surfer who resides near Hedges Ave or the Mermaid Beach area in general. It doesn’t matter whether you’re looking to get a light bircher muesli to keep you going or if the breakfast Bruschetta is more suitable for you, this versatile menu will have something for you. Cafe on Hedges is the perfect breakfast option for anybody who is looking for a nice luxurious breakfast experience but does’t want to be burning a hole in their back pocket. Located in the heart of Broadbeach, it’s contemporary dining environment makes it a nice place to catch a quick, cheap brekky and coffee that will have you amped to battle those little ‘shories’ at Kurrawa. If you’re looking to eat after your surf then you’ll have to get in quick as quality afternoon entertainment means Koi Dining & Lounge Bar grows more popular as day the goes on.

Globe Café 

After you’ve washed yourself down from your morning surf, take a two minute walk down to James Street where you’ll see variety of funky cafes, but one that really stands out is Globe Cafe. The service is always with a smile and you’re guaranteed a delicious but also satisfying feed. The ‘big breakfast’ is the locals favourite and ticks all the boxes as far as breakfast essentials go. If coffee is more your thing, make sure some of Globe Cafe’s distinguished Di Bella blended coffee is either in your hand or in your system before you leave. This cool and alternative little cafe is another James street special.
