Organised by the newly-formed Rockhampton Agricultural and Citizens Show Society Inc., the Rockhampton Show is a fantastic time to gather your family and friends and enjoy a great day out. Whether you just love your showbags (there will be a showbag warehouse this year!) or the kids want to pet some farm animals, there really is something for everyone at the show this year! Come one, come all and enjoy these fantastic Rockhampton cafés to fill up before or after your show adventures.

Billy Blue’s Café
Open Wednesday and Friday from 7am to 5pm, and the Thursday public holiday from 8:30am to 3pm, Billy Blue’s Café is a great place to grab some high-quality food. Whether you require a coffee for that extra burst of energy, or need something more filling, Billy Blue’s Café will not disappoint. Try their amazing pancakes, topped with crushed violet crumble, or if you’re after something savoury grab one of their egg and bacon ‘Quickies’ (eggs wrapped in bacon, topped with sliced tomato, sprinkled with cheese and baked to perfection).
If you’re bringing the kids along (and they’ve pestered you into submission), they can tuck into food from their very own kids menu! This menu includes Billy Blue’s junior burger, fish fingers, chips and chicken chips, as well as boiled eggs on toast. You’ll love the food and the service here—the perfect start to your show day!

Now it’s time for clowns and goats—yes, it’s time for the show.
Located at the Rockhampton Showgrounds, the Rockhampton Show plays host to a huge range of fun activities, rides and goodies for both adults and children. With arts and crafts, a petting zoo, horticulture stalls, photography and woodchop events, this is the place to be this week!
Kids 10-14 years old can enjoy a treasure hunt to win amazing prizes, there’s a colouring competition for the much younger kidlets between 3-9 years, as well as the Young Farmer Challenge—an obstacle course where teams complete a number of tasks designed around agricultural and farming skills. Couple this with a showbag warehouse and a wide variety of entertainment stalls, this is bound to be a great day!
