The Rockhampton Taste of the World Festival is a unique, multicultural event that celebrates the rich, cultural diversity of the Central Queensland Region. Sample some culinary delights from around the world, enjoy live music and dance performances, or head out with the kids for a great family fun day. Here’s the run-down on the festival, as well as where to grab your morning coffee and delightful dinner after!

It’s going to be a big day—walking around different stalls, watching a range of performances and meeting a bunch of new people—so you and the kids will need some energy. If you’re after amazing, fresh and filling food, head to Café Bliss Rockhampton. Located on Bolsover Street, this café is just a few streets away from the showgrounds, making it a great option for brekky before the festival. Their mouth-watering menu includes their big breakfast (available all day), vanilla waffles and blueberry pancakes. If you’re after something light, try the Café Bliss omeletini—perfect for those whose appetites don’t stir until later in the morning.

At just $2 per adult and children under 15 years entering free, the Taste of the World Festival is a great place to spend your Saturday this weekend. This annual event only runs for one day, so be sure to take full advantage of everything it has to offer.
Get your dose of culture by viewing the entertainment program. This incorporates a number of cultural performances from community groups and Rockhampton locals. There’ll even be some children’s groups performing traditional songs, dances and instrumental pieces, as well as fun pop segments.
Love your international cuisine? Learn how to cook some of your favourite dishes by attending a few cooking demonstrations. There is also a wide range of crafts and cultural activities to participate in. A huge range of food stalls means you can sample all kinds of international cuisine—perfect for grabbing a quick lunch while you’re walking around.
Keep the kids entertained with a wide range of free activities and entertainment. Take them over to the petting zoo to meet some farm animals, or give them a go on the carousel. Your kids are sure to be tuckered out after visiting this festival!
