There is nothing quite as indulgent or special as sitting down with your girlfriends for high tea. In the twenty-first century, we often don’t take time out to just sit and enjoy one another’s company and good conversation, and many women still long for the days of proper table etiquette enjoying a cup of tea in the afternoon. Luckily, with many cafes offering high tea packages, this tradition doesn’t have to die. Check out one of these three locations on the Sunshine Coast for an afternoon of indulgence and some delicious tea and treats.
Fiona’s Fancies

Try Fiona’s handmade treats

Fiona is a professional pastry chef who has followed her dream of recreating her childhood days baking with her mother and created her cafe, Fiona’s Fancies. She describes her treats as indulgent and moreish, promising an afternoon of sipping on tea and biting into macaroons or the cupcake flavour of the day. Some of Fiona’s indulgent fancies include marshmallow and vanilla bean cupcakes and hand crafted personal meringues with vanilla bean, white chocolate custard cream and fresh fruit. If you’d prefer a hot chocolate or tea, Fiona’s are served with melted Lindt chocolate, whipped cream, chocolate sprinkles, marshmallows and a mini meringue. Step into her homely cafe shop front for high tea and enjoy the afternoon reminiscing about learning to bake your first scones.
