If you’re heading to the markets this Sunday, you’re in for a treat! The Harbourside Markets have dozens of stalls that operate every Sunday morning from 8am until 2pm. Stalls include fresh produce, handmade goods for the home and body, as well as unique clothing and much more. If you want to visit these lively markets, you’d better fill up beforehand so you have plenty of energy to check out the awesome goods! We’ve found three Coffs Harbour cafes nearby that pose as the perfect place to grab some breakfast and a coffee.

Amazing breakfast, OP 81 Cafe – Coffs Harbour

For a cosy cafe to warm you up before the markets, visit OP 81 Cafe. A uniquely decorated and renovated house, this cafe is home to a huge breakfast menu from an award-winning chef. They also offer a smooth blend of single origin coffee and plenty of hearty treats to enjoy.
For breakfast, we recommend trying one of their specials. These change regularly, but include dishes such as sweet corn and capsicum fritters. Or perhaps you’d prefer the apple and cinnamon breakfast risotto, served with brown sugar and lemon caramel. They have a range of divine freshly squeezed juices, but if you’d prefer a hot drink on this cold morning you really can’t go past their barista-made coffee. Still peckish after breakfast? Pick up a doughnut to go (if you’re lucky, you may even get to try the nutella filled doughnut!).

Another locally owned gem is Cafe Aqua; located on Ocean Parade, it’s just a short stroll to the markets after you’ve filled up on their breakfast menu. We recommend trying the Tuscan poached eggs, served with basil, goats cheese, tomato, rocket and crispy bacon on Turkish bread. Delish! If you’re visiting with your children, they also have a kid’s breakfast menu to keep your young ones happy.
The locals rave about the delicious coffee at Cafe Aqua, so if you don’t order one to enjoy alongside your breakfast, make sure you grab a cup to go! If you’ve missed breakfast but are keen to get something to eat after you’ve perused the markets, Cafe Aqua also have an extensive lunch menu. With dishes like the grass-fed beef burger, or the salt and sichuan pepper prawn salad, you’re sure to love everything at Cafe Aqua!
