Having reopened just a few weeks ago, the Element Bar is considered to be one of the most exciting venues in the harbour and the best place to eat, drink and chill. The interior decor of the place features exposed brick and timber with an industrial looking fit-out that is urban and authentic. It isn’t hard to imagine yourself sitting on their comfy chairs and listening to the local acts which play live music with, of course, a drink in your hand. Their famous beer tasters accompanied with a giant pretzel and chilli nuts is a signature staple for local residents and isn’t one to be missed. Upon the exposed brick are tattooed sensual sailor girls swimming in Martini glasses or playing peek-a-boo with the customers. The great drinks are not the only thing to try, all meals are prepared by a chef with an assortment of share plates for friends, so you can have a high quality meal within a casual setting.

Mexican drinks are back on the menu at this busy bar near the esplanade. Get your drinking hats on – or, should we say, Sombreros – to begin the night with Tequila that can be mixed, straight or on the rocks. Their graffiti wall features a contemporary version of Mexican sugar skull art that is used as a rouge coloured backdrop for your meal and mojito. Don’t forget that happy hour is every day between 5pm and 6pm, with cocktails at $10 and beers only $5 with a meal. So what are you waiting for, head down to Lime Mexican and taste tapas and cocktail combinations that you didn’t even know existed. If you are fond of alcoholic beverages from all over the world then you certainly will not be disappointed with the drinks menu at Lime Mexican Tapas Restaurant & Bar.

A restaurant and bar, Latitude 30 has everything you need to keep friends amused. The owners of the restaurant have mastered the perfect balance between classic and contemporary interior design. The outside dining area, called the ‘Deck’, serves up meals and drinks for 80 people; however, the entire restaurant and bar is able to host 295 guests. If you are looking for a bar with a bit more class then choose from Latitude 30’s wine list which can be matched to their sensational seafood dishes. Although it can be easily said that the views looking out over the ocean are impressive, it is really the inside of the venue, combined with fantastic food and drink, that keeps customers coming back for more. Their wall mural can’t be missed when walking up the stairs in this double-storey venue, featuring colourful caricatures of men floating in mid air. The Spanish words ‘Suena en Grande’ on the wall – translated in English to big sound –  is exactly what Latitude 30 is doing with the locals.
