Hats Off To Country Tamworth 2015 gig guide

While it’s impossible to see all the acts, we’ve highlighted a few must-see performances that you’ll need to make time for.
Thursday
Start your day by getting a country music history lesson at the Australian Country Music Hall of Fame at its long-awaited re-opening at 10am. From there, head to Tamworth Shoppingworld at 1pm where you’ll get to see Don Costa (free). After that performance, relax with some lunch before heading to see Dan Murphy at the South Tamworth Bowling Club at 6pm (free).
Friday
On Friday, we suggest sleeping in a bit and resting up for a big night of free live music (and few drinks) at the Tudor Hotel. The night starts with Allison Forbes at 5pm, and will finish with a bang as One Non-Blonde performs at 8:30pm.
Saturday
Saturday is all about live country music at the Oasis Hotel Motel. Starting at 1pm, you’ll be treated to the best-of-the-best in live country music throughout the entire day – including Trevor Coombes, Ged and Trudy Wintz, Wayne Elliot, Those Gals, Christina George and Jonny Taylor. Just be sure to make your way to West Tamworth Leagues Club before 8pm, so you can enjoy festival headliner Beccy Cole (tickets required).
Sunday
We suggest finishing off your festival at the South Tamworth Bowling Club, by treating yourself to a couple of unforgettable showcases. Starting at 11am with the CCMA’s all-women salute to Anne Kirkpatrick and finishing off with a retreat showcase at 4pm – featuring over 11 talented artists and a complimentary barbeque (tickets required).
