Here are some delicious pup-friendly treats you can make. Perfect for a treat for your furry friend!

While some foods are edible for us, to dogs they can be hazardous. When making dog treats, keep in mind the ingredients you should always avoid:

  • Chocolate
  • Coffee
  • Fat trimmings
  • Grapes and raisins
  • Macadamia nuts

Vegetarian Doggie Cookies

Whether your dog is on a specialised vegetarian diet or not, these are sure to go down a treat with your pooch. Ingredients include whole wheat flour, rolled oats, peanut butter and eggs. All you’ll need is a mixing bowl, a baking tray and a bone-shaped cookie cutter! Just remember, these biscuits are meant to be treats, so one every few days will be plenty for your pup.

For those warmer days, some ice cubes in the dog’s bowl may only give your pup a slight reprieve. Plan ahead for hot summer days by making some frozen yoghurt pops.
